Dixon house visit.
On Monday we were going to read to old people At Dixon's house. We had to get picked up from school from a bus and then get taken to Dixon's house. We walked down the street to the house and there we were welcomed.
We got to the old people's house and started to read them stories and tell them about our life. Then we had morning tea. You got a chocolate bar and we were sent to go back to school for the last half an hour of school left for the day.
This is a cat... and this is a rat.
Cats eat rats and rats run away from cats but that's just in the wild. In this scenario, people release feral cats to get a rat problem Under control but then obviously sooner or later they're going to have a feral cat problem.
This rat problem was placed in Chicago they release feral cats to stop the problem which is pretty much just another stupid idea. I would probably just use poison now feral cats are living in the streets of Chicago as well as rats that’s not good.
Duck shooting
Duck shooting is a season that comes around once a year on the first Saturday of May. It is called opening day and that's when all the hunters go out to shoot ducks or geese.
The ducks fly around a lot more on opening day because when a hunter shoots at a duck and misses the duck will fly away to find another pond, and then the duck will get shot at again and again and again. Hunters build mymys so the ducks carnt see them and they can hide in them until ducks come along and try to land in the pond that's when they have their chance with the shotgun.
A shotgun is a short-ranged gun that can be either a pump-action semi-automatic or double barrel. It has about a couple hundred pallets in the shell and so when you shoot a bird in the air you have more chance of Hitting and killing
it.
Duck species that are usually Target are Mallard ducks Paradise ducks and occasionally you might get a goose. Mallard ducks have extremely good eyesight that's why the Hunters hide in the mymys.

Today in Taiao we did a morning quiz and we had to choose one of the subjects and make a DLO about it I choose what is duck shooting here is some facts about it I hope you enjoy.
This week Taiao has been working there on Anzac activities and for my third activity,
I make poppies there is a picture of it just above this script.
The poppies have us remember the soldiers who fell at Gallipoli.
We remember the soldiers who fell fighting for our country Against the Germans.
We will remember them.
